Are you down with the culture of the vulture?

Vultures are nature’s cleanup crew, recycling carrion (animal carcasses) to keep ecosystems healthy and prevent disease. Similarly, upcycling breathes new life into discarded materials, turning what might end up in landfills into something useful. It cuts down on waste and the need for new resources, helping the planet in the process. Just like vultures play a key role in nature’s recycling, upcycling is a simple way we can contribute to a greener, more sustainable world.

Environmental Impact

Upcycling reawakens the potential of forgotten materials, cutting down the need for new resources. It keeps clothes out of landfills and stretches the lifespan of what already exists. By doing this, we help save water, land, and raw materials, moving fashion toward a smarter, more sustainable future.

Ethical Production

Upcycling cuts the need for new production—which often comes with exploitative labor practices and community harm. It also lifts up small designers making one-of-a-kind pieces, supporting local economies and pushing the clothing industry to a more fair, inclusive direction.

Extend Your Garment Life

How you care for your clothes matters. Simple habits like washing on cold, air drying, and skipping the dryer can help your clothes last longer and cut down on energy use. For graphic pieces, avoid machine drying to keep the design looking fresh. If you have to use a dryer, flip the garment inside out to protect the print. Small steps, big impact.

Detox Fast Fashion

#DetoxFastFashion is all about cleaning up the fashion industry. The movement pushes for less waste, fewer toxic chemicals, and more mindful shopping. It’s a call to ditch fast fashion’s throwaway culture and support brands that put people and the planet first.

Meet the Designer

Hey, I’m Zach—a self-taught clothing designer with a passion for fashion’s ability to express who we are. I got my start repairing old fabrics and making quilts, which eventually led me into the world of clothing design and upcycling.

Driven by a love for the planet and a concern for the fashion industry’s impact on it, I work exclusively with secondhand and repurposed materials. For me, it’s all about reclaiming forgotten fabrics while creating pieces that are sustainable and one-of-a-kind.

My style lives somewhere between streetwear, vintage vibes, and the natural world—resulting in garments that feel unique, timeless, and connected to something bigger.
